Periodontal Treatment

Periodontal disease, also known as gum disease, is a progressive condition that can lead to an infection of the gums and bone surrounding your teeth.

It is one of the top reasons for tooth loss in adults. Periodontal treatment can include a non-surgical deep cleaning, also called scaling and root planning, to stabilize gum disease and bone loss.

This type of cleaning is usually competed in two separate visits and followed up with more frequent cleanings every three or four months to maintain the gum disease and prevent progression.
